Erica Chidi Cohen
Sybil puts the letter in the mailbox. She knows that there were talks of a postal strike, but isn’t sure whatever happened with that. It will get there when it gets there. Strange time to strike, Sybil thinks, but maybe that’s the point. When everyone is sending out their holiday cards and receiving packages, that’s a moment of real impact. Her Dad was Union guy, a real political fellow, but Sybil inherited her Mom’s apathy. She isn’t proud of it, but it’s the truth and there’s no wiggling around the truth.
